![]() Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, New York It’s time to take a look back to one of my favorite WWE PPV events from the month June ten years ago. I didn’t write a review of it back then, so everything you see below is fresh and new. I saw this show live at a movie theater with some friends. In this case, it featured some nostalgia although there was also more of an eye towards the future with signed talent put in matches to get them ready for the ECW brand. ![]() They really thought it would be a “one night stand” or a one night only type of show. In 2005, there was a sense of nostalgia as former ECW acts were put on the show to have traditional ECW style matches. ![]() ![]() The big difference between the 20 shows is that in 2006 the goal was to set them up for what was to come on the new ECW TV show that started on Sci-Fi channel two days after this event aired.
